Educational activities within NEPG are wide-ranging, and do not just involve the Education Team. Learning happens on every competition night, at workshop, events, and trips. The Education Team’s focus though is on special training sessions, such as:
Better Images
- How to take and make better images.
Camera (NEPG101)
- Beginners Course – Hands-on – how to get the most out of your camera
Editing
- Intro to Editing – General overview of editing tools and available software
- File Handling – Hardware/Software, Downloading, Files/Folders/Catalogs, Collections, Exporting
- Lightroom Classic Editing – relevant Camera Settings, Editing Workflow and Tools, Edit in Photoshop (short intro)
- Photoshop Editing
Sharing
- Storytelling and Sharing – incl Photobooks, Google Photos, Printing etc
Depending on demand, and available timing, the sessions are held throughout the year, on weekend afternoons, or weekday evenings, or sometimes coinciding with Workshop nights. The team is also involved in the PIG (Photoshop/Lightroom Interest Group) sessions, on a fifth Wednesday of the month.
