For March, the Events Committee are planning a visit to WA Museum Boola Bardip to see the Kimberley Wilderness Virtual Tour preceded and followed by a photoshoot, a wee bit in town and a wee bit in Northbridge.
This is the proposed schedule for the afternoon of 23 March:
1. Train from Joondalup to Perth city.
Opportunity for architectural and abstract photos, and a relaxed way to get to the city. I will check out the train schedule to make sure we have plenty of time for a wander.
2. Photoshoot walk to WA Museum Boola Bardip via Yangan Square and Northbridge.
Opportunity for street photos, cityscape, architecture. The ECU building at Yangan Square currently under construction has some interesting angles and would be great for b/w photos.
3. Attend the 2:15 showing of the Kimberley Wilderness Virtual Tour.
Some notes on the Virtual Tour:
– the cost is $20 standard, $17.50 concession.
– it runs for 40 minutes.
– bookings are essential.
4. Photoshoot wander around the Museum precinct.
It is a little limited as the plaza in front of the State Library/Art Gallery is under construction at the moment but there are potential shots walking around the library area (eg. Swan Barracks on Francis Street and shop fronts on Beaufort Street).
As we need to book the virtual tour, can you please get back to me asap if you are interested? I will then make the booking.
Also tell me if you are interested in getting an early dinner, most probably in one of the restaurants in Yangan Square). Afterwards, everyone can make their own way home.
