Not everyone is attending all the programs, so organising the logistics has been a little more complex and has meant we have to make some changes for the catering and costs of the weekend. Unfortunately the Upper Reach Winery option for the Friday Sundowner isn’t available as they stop serving food at 3pm. Also we haven’t been able to meet the Swan Valley Activities Centre (SVAC) minimum threshold for catering of 20 people for all the various meals (Friday Sundowner, Saturday’s Breakfast and Lunch & Sunday’s Breakfast and Lunch). So for catering our options are as follows:
- Friday Sundowner: BBQ BYO food and drink at SVAC, or possibly go out to Mandoon Estate Homestead Brewery (https://mandoonestate.com.au/eat-drink/homestead-brewery);
- Saturday Breakfast: So far we only have 16 people wanting breakfast (assuming all the Wagin Club will join us for breakfast) This may increase once Colin Jim and Ray confirm what they wish to attend during the weekend. So our options are we gather at a local Cafe in Guildford close to where our dawn Photo walk or have an outdoor BBQ back at the SVAC;
- Saturday Lunch BYO lunch;
- Saturday Dinner – Pasta In the Valley (https://www.pastainthevalley.com.au/) or The Henley Brook Tavern (https://thehenleybrook.com.au/contact/);
- Sunday Breakfast – self cater;
- Sunday Lunch – self cater – Probably down at Guilford at the Medieval Festival;
The estimated costs for the weekend excluding accommodation (for those that are staying overnight) and Meals will be:
- Friday Sundowner $5.50 per person (for cost of hiring the SVAC BBQ and having them cleaned) if we have a BBQ at SVAC or pay on the night for whatever you choose to order at Mandoon Estate;
- Saturday Activities will be approximately $47 per person
- Sunday Activities will be approximately $17.00 per person
- For the whole weekend Activities it will be approximately $69.50
Final costs will depend on final numbers attending each day.
